2026 CROP Walk is October 18
Join UUCW and four other congregations to raise money and awareness to combat hunger.
A quarter of CROP Walk proceeds fight hunger in our community—Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry receives a portion of the money raised. The other 75% goes to international programs to support women, provide clean water to communities, and fight hunger.
The CROP Walk is at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 18 at 346 Shrewsbury Street in Holden. Participants are invited to gather after the walk to enjoy food and live music and an unveiling of the fundraising total! There are activities for kids and families and a chance to learn about our global neighbors who benefit from the funds we raise.

CROP Hunger Walks are community-based walk fundraising events held in cities and towns across the United States, created to support Church World Service’s mission to transform communities through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement, and disaster. A quarter of the funds remain in the community to support local hunger fighting efforts.
The Crop Project began in 1947 when farmers were asked to donate food and seed crops to our hungry neighbors in post-World War II Europe and Asia. The first CROP Hunger Walks took place in Bismarck, North Dakota (1969), and York, Pennsylvania (1970). Since then, CROP Hunger Walk events have been held in hundreds of communities, large and small, raising millions of dollars to eradicate hunger and poverty.
