Black Women Composers Community Concert
Saturday, February 21 @ 6:30pm
YWCA of Central Massachusetts (1 Salem Square)
- Even if they weren’t always given the visibility or credit that they deserved, Black Women have always been trailblazers in music. In honor of Black History Month, we invite you to join us for a community concert shining a light on the contributions made by Black American Women songwriters from 1920 to 1970. With 5 incredible local musicians performing their renditions of their songs, we remember these women, the music they made, the stories they told, and the messages they left behind that are still relevant and resonant across generations. You won’t want to miss what is sure to be an amazing celebration of Black American Women songwriters! Flyer | Information
