Faith In Action – Get Out The Vote Team News

Are you ready to MAKE some GOOD TROUBLE?

Beginning this Sunday, October 2nd, we will be offering you opportunities during coffee hour to put your faith into action and help communicate voting information to BIPOC communities in states with voter suppression and be prepared to vote in Massachusetts.

Failure to pass national voting rights legislation has made it more important than ever that we help folks navigate the registrictive voting procedures that have been established in their state, particularly in Georgia where there are a number of important seats in play on a state and federal level.

October 2nd, during coffee hour in Fellowship Hall, we will be writing postcards to Black voters in Georgia, a state that has made voting more difficult and less accessible, including making it a felony to hand out water to people waiting in long lines on election day.  Please take time to write out a postcard or two or pick up a packet you can work on from home.  If you will be joining worship services by zoom, contact me for how you can take action from home.
