UUCW Health & Safety Team COVID-19 Update – September 28, 2022

UUCW continues to monitor local, regional, and national recommendations related to the ongoing effort to address COVID-19 and its variants. Our buildings remain open and we have begun to accept building rentals again.  Sunday morning worship is being provided both in-person and online. Our Religious Exploration Program is now being provided in person for all ages. And we continue to provide adult faith development opportunities in-person with some programs online only.  While masking is not mandatory we do advise those who are concerned about their health to continue to mask and have made masks available in the foyer of the sanctuary.

Additionally, we encourage all those who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and available boosters to avail themselves of these resources.  Please visit www.worcesterma.gov for more information on clinics and vaccine availability in our area.

Also, we continue to ask that members and friends that have been active in church activities who subsequently are diagnosed with COVID-19 to inform UUCW of their status so that we can inform those who face possible exposure to test and monitor themselves for symptoms.  To report a COVID-19 diagnosis please email or . Per CDC recommendations, we strongly recommend that people with COVID-19 should isolate for 5 days and if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), follow that by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others to minimize the risk of infecting people they encounter.

Finally, we continue to encourage people to wash their hands and use waterless hand sanitizer (available @ each major entrance at UUCW), If you have any questions about ongoing efforts to respond to COVID-19 at UUCW please contact .

Blessings to all of you.
