Our Closing Hymn on October 16, 2026 was “When the Spirit Says Do.” As is our own unique, beloved tradition, some folks get up and dance when we sing the verse “When the spirit says dance.” Here, Neil and Cristina Heffernan add a dip and a kiss to their dance.

Thank you to UUCW neighbor and Garden-On compadre Bill Kadish. A few years back, when he was walking by, Bill stopped to chat and asked about our gardens. Carole Howe told him the history of our gardens, and Ruth Silver invited him to join us as a volunteer weeder. He’s been doing so, regularly, ever since. He’s shown here on October 13, 2026, tackling a difficult area that has poison ivy. He also specializes in getting long plant roots out, a talent G-O really values!
