The Get Out the Vote Team has moved our meetings for the summer from the 2nd to the 4th Thursday of June, July and August. Our next meeting will be this Thursday, June 26 at 6:15.
Our other meetings this summer will be on July 24 and August 28. Please mark these in your calendar.

In response to the bombing on Iran and other wars around the world, Susan Crossley and I are offering an impromptu Peace Vigil at UUCW on the corner of Shore Drive, Wednesday evening, 6/25, from 6:30 to 7:30. Let’s come together with songs and readings, light a candle, near our large banner expressing our values. If you have the Rise Up Singing songbook, bring it with you or words to some favorite songs that move you. Hand-held signs are welcomed.
Here are some other ideas for how to be an engaged citizen this summer.
Buy some forever stamps now! Be ready for letter and postcard writing and save money on stamps. The price of postage is set to increase on July 13th. With mid-term elections next year in 2026, we can prepare now and save money. Letter stamps are going up from $.73 to $.78, a 5 cent increase. Postcard stamps are going up from $.56 to $.62, a 6 cent increase.
