Faith In Action – Get Out The Vote News – Letter Writing with Vote Forward on Sunday, September 21 during Fellowship Hour

Please join us for letter writing with Vote Forward

We are letter writing again, this time to Pennsylvania to determine whether their state Supreme Court Judges will be retained.  Not as big an election as others but this will impact their state’s gun laws, voting by mail, and education.  This will also give us practice in letter-writing to warm up our muscles for the 2026 midterms.

  • Help send letters to young, infrequent and low-propensity voters with a non-partisan personal message about why you vote to encourage and empower these voters to take part in democracy.
  • We will have letters printed with names, addresses, and voting information specific to their November election.
  • They aim to have letters go out by 10/28.  Here’s some info about the current campaign.
  • Information about Vote Forward is available at https://votefwd.org/

If you aren’t able to do letters with us on Sunday, we’ll have instructions for how you can do your own at home.  Donations of letter-sized envelopes, copy paper, 1st class stamps (no dogs or flags) or financial contributions are always welcome.  You can also donate money through the UUCW Social Action Giving page to support ongoing activities.

Are you needing to do something with the angst and aggravation you may feel when you listen to the news?  Here’s a list of activities and events you can take part in this fall.
