UUCW Refugee Ministry Team – Afghan Refugee Update

We have been working with an Afghan family for over 18 months now!  They are doing GREAT!  I would love to tell you all about them.  But …

This summer, and as recently as a few weeks ago, approximately two dozen Afghan refugees arrived in Worcester.  They are building a new life here and starting with very, very little.  Some have yet to receive their social security cards and work authorizations and are worried about the future.  Their resettlement agencies will be providing some items (beds and furniture) but they are in need of almost everything else.  The list on this signup is just a start to help some of these families we’ve met get settled and make it through the winter.  It’s also one way for us to show that they are not alone.  Thank you for caring and for your generosity!

Among all that stuff…there is an urgent need for three washing machines and two TVs.  Let us know at !
