Celebrating and Honoring Spring at UUCW

by Robin Mitzcavitch, Director of Religious Exploration & Education

Most major holidays have some connection to the changing of seasons.

Spring holidays often celebrate rebirth – a time when the plants and trees that have been dormant for winter come back to life, and the animal babies are born. Spring holidays also celebrate the triumph of good over evil.

Spring celebrations are present in many ancient customs across all cultures.

Unitarian Universalists strive to honor all people, their religious and non-religious roots, and their exploration of what is good and right for them at this moment in their lives.

In this video we’ll explore some of the holidays observed in the spring by people within the UU community and around the world.

This video was talentedly produced by our own Vickie Cox-Lanyon and was viewed two weeks ago by some of our Religious Exploration children. Please enjoy and share because it is beautiful to watch and educational for all !

Happy New Beginnings,

Robin
