The Meaning of America – Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Sunday – Rev. Sarah Stewart, Guest Minister, Preaching

“The Meaning of America” Ancient Israel told many stories about who they were as a people. America tells itself many stories, too, and we must hear them all to know the truth. On this Martin Luther King, Jr. Sunday, we will explore what America stands for, and how we can live into Dr. King’s vision for our country.

The Rev. Sarah Stewart has served as the Minister of First Unitarian Church in Worcester since 2014. Before moving to Worcester, she was the Minister of Starr King UU Fellowship in Plymouth, New Hampshire for 11 years. She has been an active leader in Unitarian Universalism since she was a teenager, and currently serves as the President of the Clara Barton chapter of the UU Ministers Association.

Sarah lives in the Newton Hill neighborhood of Worcester with her husband Andy and their two sons. She enjoys weightlifting, knitting, playing games and spending time with friends, even these days when visits are virtual.
