How often we focus this care on others and neglect self-care and self-kindness! Scientists have documented that 8 weeks of compassion training can make our temperament significantly more positive! We can reduce negative thought patterns and increase happiness, self-confidence and altruistic behavior!

Presented by: Johanna Spencer, LMHC, a life-long UU, Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 30 years experience integrating mindfulness with psychotherapy. She practices in Worcester and Gardner with adults, teens, couples, and groups to manage issues with anxiety, stress, depression, compulsive behaviors, parenting, and life/career transitions. Johanna trained in the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Program at UMASS Medical Center with Jon Kabat -Zinn and holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School.
