As the Holiday Season approaches, we are mindful that we have a history of offering a variety of ways to give and to gift here at UUCW. In an effort to invite participation in these efforts, without overwhelming each other, we are offering this list to you in hopes that you will participate in any of the ways that feel best to you and assist you in celebrating the holidays in ways that are most meaningful.  This list will grow over the next few weeks so watch for your favorite ways to give and gift!

ACE Shoebox Collection – Pauline Courchesne
It’s holiday shoe-box time!.  Come to the ACE table in Fellowship Hall after the service on November 17 and 24.  I can give you all of the info you need to join our exciting event. In short, from my list, choose a boy or girl, along with a preferable age, to buy appropriate gifts for.  Ages range from 10 to 21.  Drop off will be in  Fellowship Hall on Dec. 1, 8 and 15.  Delivery will be on Dec 16.

Holiday Poinsettia Project – Rev. Aaron Payson & Nancy Hancock
The Annual UUCW Holiday Poinsettia Project is underway! Those wishing to purchase poinsettias to help decorate the UUCW sanctuary for the December Holidays may purchase small ($13) or large ($32) plants in red, white and pink this year. Donations may also be made directly to the flower fund. Names of those donated in memory or honor will appear in the Holiday programs. Poinsettia orders will be taken during Fellowship Hour this Sunday, or orders can be taken online by CLICKING HERE. Contributions will be accepted until December 15th.  Donations in memory of  loved ones will be noted during the Holiday Services. We are also accepting donations toward arrangements for other Sundays and holidays in 2020.  Contact Susan Crossley or Nancy Hancock or see us at coffee hour.

Special Collection at Holiday Services
During the special holiday services December 22 through December 29, members and friends of the congregation are invited to participate in our special offering project in support of the UUCW Emergency Fund.  This fund serves families both within our congregation and the community at large by providing needed resources such as heating oil, gas, clothing, medicine, partial rent, school supplies, etc. for those in need.  During 2019 over $2400.00 was distributed from this fund. Please consider your contribution to this important ministry.  Envelopes will be handed out with Orders of Service and extras will be available in the foyer.  Thank you in advance for your generosity and compassion. If you prefer to donate to this cause digitally online, please visit HERE.

Holiday Family Needs
If you know of a family in our midst, including your own, who may need assistance this holiday season with necessities or gifts for children, please let Aaron know ASAP ().  Any needs expressed will remain confidential and distributions of resources will be done privately.
