Side With Love Task Force Summer Film Events- Wednesday June 26 & Friday, July 19, 6 – 8 pm in the Lounge

A reminder that Side With Love’s Task Force for Social  Justice will host an environmental justice film this Wednesday, June 26th, from 6-8 pm in our church lounge.  This is an informative and hopeful video with thoughtful suggestions about reducing our carbon footprint. Discussion to follow.

Our second film event will be on Friday July 19th from 6-8 pm in our lounge. This video, Dolores, is a biography of Dolores Huerta, who co-founded the United Farm Worker’s Union, along with Cesar Chavez. Ms. Huerta, who is still alive, rarely gets recognized for her many contributions. This film deals with the interrelated issues of class, ethnicity, race, culture, poverty, motherhood and feminism.  It should make for a fascinating discussion!

Popcorn will be provided at both film showings. So come, enjoy some fellowship and see these stimulating videos!
