Guest musician Jim Scott tells about the song "Lullaby" which he sang to his daughter and stepson. Scott performed the song as part of the "Time for Children of All Ages" during the service on Sunday, June 17, 2018. Scott is the artist-in-residence at UUCW, a position that he will hold while he is writing the second 'Earth & Spirit' songbook.

 

Refugee Resettlement Ministry team members Linda Morse and Marilyn Martin Raymond hold up the ChicoBags that are being sold as fundraisers for this ministry during the Announcements portion of the service on Sunday, June 17, 2018. The team is seeking to sell the remaining bags in the current inventory.

 

The Rev. Aaron Payson delivers the sermon "How To Be a Hero," sharing a lot of personal reflections about his relationship with his father, also a UU minister, during the service on Sunday, June 17, 2018. Rev. Payson's sermon theme was based on today being Father's Day. Rev. Payson prefers the term "Fathering Day" to acknowledge all the people in our lives who have fathered us. Rev. Payson is wearing a "Super Dad" t-shirt and a Winnie the Pooh tie which his children gave to him when they were younger.
